Breed of the Issue

Beginning with the January/February 2005 edition we began a "Breed of the Issue" feature - similar to the "Breed Specials" of the American Pigeon Journal, the Pigeon Debut and the Pigeon Fancier. Our Breed of the Issue features differ in that they are only part of the issue. All our issues cover a broad range of material.

These Breed of the Issue sections will vary in size depending on the input from the breed's fanciers. For some issues we may choose an rare breed and there may only four or or five pages. For larger breeds we hope to have a full 20+ page section

If you are interested in suggesting a "Breed of the Issue" for your breed:

• We do NOT require a deposit* or guarantee of ad space. Ads must be paid for at the time they are submitted.

• All advertising is to be sent directly to the magazine.

• No one individual or club will be "in charge" of collecting ads or articles. Any and all fanciers are welcome to participate.

The section will be up to 30 pages. There can be up to 15 pages of articles and up to 15 pages of advertising (plus the front and back covers and an inside center spread).

All content is subject to editorial control of Purebred Pigeon.

Advertising in the "Breed of the Issue" is discounted by 20% off our regular ad prices. These discounts are for ads paid at the time they are submitted. Absolutely no billing or delayed payments on discounted ads. *We do require a 50% deposit for the front cover.

If you want to suggest a breed for a certain issue, please contact us. We do request that you and other fanciers can provide at least five new, previously unpublished articles on your breed (with photos) and two pages of advertising (which can be multiple small ads). We will try to be flexible for the smaller breeds.
