the glass. Well over twenty breeds received this trophy. The
Big Apple is an official NPA District Show, and winners also
received an NPA certificate.

O’Dell was working hard taking pictures of the show hall, the
judging, many individual birds and exhibitors, and individual
pictures of many of the Best of Breed champions. Some photos
of the winners are included with this article, but for a more

A list of the Best of Breed winners is included. To touch
on some of the club meets:
The New York Combine held its annual fall show at the
Big Apple, with John Thornton winning Grand Champion with
a Black Teager Cap.
The American Tippler Union had a large entry of Flying
Tipplers and Danish at the show, and as usual a very large
crowd watching the judging. Lorenzo Robinson won Champion
Tippler Plainhead, and Gerald Ford won Champion Tippler
Cap as well as Best Danish with a Red Danish.
Ed Boraczewski won Champion Bronze Show Tippler.
The Mid-Island Flying Flight Club held their show at the Big
Apple this year, with Vincent DeVito winning Champion Flying
Flight with a Dun Teager Cap.
Joe Monteleone had the Champion West of England Tumbler,
while John Thornton won Champion Komorner Tumbler.
Lothar and Barbara Beer had the Champion Pomeranian Pouter
and Reversewing Pouter, while Mike Seiler had Champion Brunner.
