Abdelaziz Alfardan (Dubai, UAE) to judge. He chose a Saddle as
champion belonging to Sunil, edamuttam-Thrissur.
The committee wanted to have a Grand Champion Large Breed,
a Grand Champion Toy Breed and a Grand Champion Indian Breed,
so they put all the breed champions up on the stage and the four
judges made a decision between them. For the Grand Champion
Large Breed we chose the lovely Black Pomeranian Pouter hen and
for the Grand Champion Toy Breed we decided on the Gaditano,
followed by the Grand Champion Indian Breed which went to Rixon
with a Lakka.
To make a show of this size run smoothly you need a good
working team and they certainly had that in place. Apart from pres-
ident Muhammed Najeeb, Secretary Sheikh Moideen and Treasurer
Shihab Said, there were countless helpers bringing birds up to the
stage and taking them back again after checking ring numbers. I
